MY STORY

A little about me

For as long as I can remember I have been surrounded by animals, from our own family pets to various friends and extended family's pets. I am now 23 years old, working full time tutoring youth in hospitality and loving life. I have volunteered and worked for various pet shops, and rescue organizations including the SPCA and HUHA.
I have experience with a large variety of animals including but not limited to; dogs and puppies, cats and kittens, sheep/lambs, horses, alpacas, pigs, fish, turtles and birds and I currently live on a family property in Shannon with 6 dogs, 4 pigs and numerous chickens. I have my own car and full license so transport is no issue and my work hours are 8:30-4:30 Monday to Friday in Levin.

WILL I MEET YOU BEFORE YOU STAY AT MY HOUSE?

Yes! Most definitely. It's always good for me to meet your animals before spending a considerable amount of time with them in their own space without their owners. it also gives yourself a chance to get a feel for me as a person, ask any questions you have and talk to me about any special requirements for your house or pets.

WHAT DOES HOUSE AND PET SITTING ENTAIL?

When you hire me to care for your house and animals that includes myself staying at your residence with your pets. I will be there when your pets wake up for morning feeding, I will walk your dogs either morning or evening and also be there for evening feeds as well as being a presence in the house still overnight. I try to stick to your regular routine as best I can and will fit it around my work hours of 8:30-4:30 Monday to Friday in Levin.

WHERE WILL YOU SLEEP

Most clients so far have been fine with me staying in their own personal bed however if you are not comfortable with having me stay in your room a spare bedroom is fine. It is your house and I will respect any wishes you have while I occupy your space.

WHAT DOES MY HOUSE NEED TO HAVE FOR YOU

As long as there is some food in the cupboards you're happy with me eating, a place to sleep and preferably the wifi code I generally pretty happy.

I also ask that you leave enough of your pet's food in the house for your time away, and if they have any special requirements you let me know.
Most clients will leave a list of important things to know or remember, such as their animal's vet,  how much food they have for feeds if on a special diet, and any information about the house they feel relevant ie. how to work the tv/surround sound unit, the wifi code, phone numbers of someone to call in an emergency.
